Don't forget Nolan's wrestling with defenders & GK on corners...

In Post Match...BFS said Carroll injured his knee...

Definitely looked like Carroll's Left ankle/foot to me...the one he recently had operated on...

Sakho & Valencia back up front...and Downing in the middle next game hopefully...

Further to that, I'd like a journalist to ask Sam directly, in the after match press conference, or perhaps in the pre-match one, exactly why he keeps playing Kevin Nolan when he's so far off the pace, in place of any number of other players in our squad who offer more pace, or more creativity, or more width, or better tackling etc etc.

Is it arm waving and pointing which is now the main criteria for selection, or does Nolan have some incriminating photos of BFS?

According to the commentator with tony gale sakho was out with a back injury

Sakho played...and scored last week...

So if it was illegal to play him...that would have been last week...not this week...???

Or is there a possibility West Ham will be penalized for playing him...If so we must have very stupid management...

OH....It's West Ham...

I would like to hear Downing's opinion on being shunted left again.
Why on earth would you keep doing that time after time after time when he has been excellent in the centre?
It really is completely and utterly beyond belief.

Discuss what we all know why he wasnt played today .

I can't believe there isn't a discussion about where Sakho was today.

According to them over there he was withdrawn as a precaution because of the Senegal/FIFA uncertainty ???

the most predictable result, team selection and performance of the season.
Doesn't make it right though.

A lot has been said about the attacking football played against Liverpool and Man city earlier in the year. For me our away performance at Old Trafford was excellent, quick movement, pace etc. we haven't played that way away from home since.

What happened to Liverpool playing 120 minutes just 4 days ago, seemed to affect chelsea big time today but not Liverpool or was it the case that we never really threatened, played to defend, had little pace on the field and played Nolan in the key position on the field. Nice sam nice

First half we were as good as them so what did Allardyce say at half time to make us so bad? The team couldn't string two passes together and were just aimless. So it's 52 years and still counting.

Re: Liverpool v West Ham - Official Match Thread 2-0 FT
What irritates me the most is that away at Liverpool, City, Chelsea etc aren't the easiest places to get anything so why not just have a go? When we attack teams we do - or did - look dangerous so just have a crack rather than him reverting to type.

Some of his decisions really make me wonder at times who makes the transfers. Did Allardyce want Sakho, Valencia and co? Are they Sullivan's signings? It really comes across like he thinks he knows best regardless as to what 99% of everyone else thinks and if he was right fine, but he clearly isn't!

BTW. Just seeing Carlton Cole as a squad fixture tells you we've got the wrong manager.

As someone else on WHO said with Allardyce as manager and Nolan in the team it's like starting and finishing a match with the handbrake on.

Great day. taking the longer view it is one more nail in the fat fucks coffin. G&S have invested heavily in the squad and BFS plays his favourites regardless.
Can't wait for him to go at the end of his contract

We need to get Demba Ba back.

Will balance nicely on the other wing to Downing.

The players aren't stupid. They will know full well what the winning team and formation looks like (even if it doesn't include them starting / playing).

You have to suspect Noble may have dared vocalise his views - he certainly isn't playing like a happy bunny at the moment.

It's frightning

He was on the short list for the England managers job, what would he make of that squad?

I wonder who he would play up front
